Toshiko H. Gaddy

Toshiko "Toni" Gaddy, 90, of Mineral Wells, passed away on August 23, 2023.  Mrs. Gaddy moved to the United States in 1954 from Japan, where she studied and learned English to earn her citizenship.  She was a proud American, and always supported her husband who was in the US Army until his retirement.   She was a wonderful wife, beloved mother, grandmother and friend to all.  Toni was a long time resident of Mineral Wells where she and her husband owned a couple of establishments, J&T BBQ, and J&T seafood until they retired in 1991.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Gaddy September 13, 2004 and her Son James Wayne Gaddy October 16th 2016.  She is survived by her Granddaughter, Jessica L Gaddy-Hubbard of Mansfield TX, her Grandson Dustin J Gaddy  and his wife Nina Kay Gaddy of Bandera TX.  She has four great grandchildren, Samantha C Stark of Saginaw TX, Mckenzie E Allen of Temple TX, Drayden J Gaddy and Brielynn R Gaddy of Bandera TX.  

Not a lot got Mrs. Gaddy down in life, she was always a positive thinker who encouraged those she loved to look on the bright side.  Anyone who knew her loved her, she will be remembered and missed by many. 

Services will be 10 AM Monday in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
