Dixie Ramey

Dixie Lee Ramey, 68, passed away April 26, 2013 in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born January 30, 1945 in Bonham. Dixie enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and spending time with his family. He was the kind of man that would let you know what he thought, but would also give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He touched everyone who came into his life. He will be missed more than words can express and know that he is smiling down on his family while walking through the gates of Heaven with his daughter Melinda Ramey Harrington. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Dixie is survived by his wife of 19 years: Edith Ramey, sons: Tim and Daniel Ramey, step-son: Carter Ingle and wife Barb, daughters: Dawn Kramer and Katrena Ramey Hyatt, step-daughters: Dona Gaona, Vicky Daugherty, and Marsha Petrosena, brothers: Doug and Ralph Ramey Jr., sisters: Anna Lankford and Mary Hill, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
