Buford Leon Smith

Buford Leon Smith was born July 31, 1948 to Gordon and Lola Smith in Mineral Wells, Texas.He was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells. He loved visiting with family and playing with his great grandkids. He was blessed to have 14 brothers and sisters as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He passed away May 3, 2022 at home surrounded by family.

He is survived by daughter Diane Smith of Mineral Wells, son Michael Smith and wife Lisa of Garner, grandchildren Robyn Pellegrino and husband Daniel, Ashton Smith and husband Matt Jimenez, Lanelle Drake, and Danyealle Drake. Great grandchildren Jayda, Quentin, Dominico, Lettica, Franco, Damien, Wyatt, Dylan, Mia, Gabriel and Jade.

Brothers Milton Smith and wife Tjwanah of Deleon and Jerry Smith of Mineral Wells. Sisters Billie Howard of Fort Worth, Patricia Brown and husband Jim, Debbie Lack and husband Larry, Sherry Robertson, and Loretta Davis all of Mineral Wells.

Buford was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clyde Smith, Loyd Smith, Marvin Smith, Carl Smith, Larry Smith, John Tom Smith, and sister Melinda Smith.

Visitation will be at Baum Carlock Funeral Home Thursday, May 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held Friday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m. at Staggs Prairie Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
