Wilmar Lee Lyon

Wilmar Lee Lyon, 85, passed away March 13, 2010 at his home in Graford. He was born April 14, 1924 in Red Springs the son of Alvie and Ruby Lewallen Lyon. He married Ruby Naomi Radford on May 4, 1946 in Whitt. He was a longtime resident of Graford and a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitt. Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Salesville Baptist Church with Rev. J. J. Mayo and Rev. Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Whitt Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Charles Richardson of Palo Pinto, Donna and David Carter of Garner, grandchildren and spouses: Gary and Shannon Richardson of Graford, Russell and April Richardson of Perrin, Amber Carter of Garner, Cody Lyon of Frisco, Georganna Vickers of Arp, step-grandchildren and spouses: Cody and Karla Carter of Norfolk, Virginia, Celeste and Doug McCauley of Lone Camp, numerous great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law: Floyd and Mary Lyon, Dorman and Joyce Lyon, Owen and Mona Lyon, Douglas and Sheila Lyon, sisters and brothers-in-law: Inez and Gordon Stewart, Evelene and Billy Maddux, Wretha Spurgeon, Ruth and Raymond Glover, Virginia and Deryl Mason, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jimmie and Francis Radford, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 27, 2005 and his son: Charles Lee Lyon on February 7, 1997.
