Wilma Wiley

Wilma, age 95, was born September 11th 1929 to Bud and Viola Thomas in Gouldbusk, Texas. She died October 8th, 2024. Wilma cooked the best roast, fried chicken, beans, potatoes and cornbread. She loved sweet tea, Dr. Pepper and garage sales. She also enjoyed her rocking chair and would rock about a hundred miles a day. Her son Jerry said she was good and fast with a fly swatter and was frequently telling him you just wait until your daddy gets home (haha). She was a hard-working person who worked as a child in the migrant farming fields picking fruit and cotton. She worked as a waitress, laundromat attendant and did ironing. She was a Christian who attended the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas Ray Funderburg and their children triplets Buddy, Thomas and Kathleen Funderburg, James Funderburg, Judy Barnett and Jimmy Funderburg, her sister Faye Herrington, brother Sonny Thomas and her second husband Russ Schraeder and her step daughter Rose. 

Survivors include her son Jerry Funderburg and wife Kathy. Their children Scooter, Kelsey, Chris and Shannon. Daughter Jayme Foreman and husband David. Son in law Eddie Barnett. Children of Eddie and Judy Barnett, Denise Aparicio and Jana Towns. Stepchildren Jason, Donny, Randy and Sue. Numerous nephews, nieces, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friend Linda Myers and best room mate Mary.
