Willie Marie Robinson Galik went to her heavenly Father on October 5, 2023. She was a reborn Christian and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Mineral Wells.
Willie was born to Robert Eugene Robinson and Florence Lucille Robinson in Los Banos, California, May 6, 1930. The family had moved to California so their dad could find work during the depression and moved back to Texas when she was 6 months old.
Willie married Stanley Thomas Galik on November 25, 1946. Of this union they had four children.
She worked for Campbell Memorial Hospital for twenty-five years as a supervisor and cook. In her younger years, she was a substitute cook for Millsap School and president of the Millsap PTA. She was a very loving person who enjoyed being with her family most.
Willie was able to do some traveling, one of the greatest joys in her life. Willie was a volunteer for the Palo Pinto General Hospital working in pre-op and then she was the popcorn lady.
Willie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers: Charles David Robinson, John Roy Robinson, and Wilburn Merle Robinson; sisters: Zetta Ruth Wilcox and Gaynell Tackett; brothers-in-laws: Willie Wilcox and Jack Tackett; son-in-law: Tim Farley; and daughter-in-law: Judy Galik.
