William M. "Willie" Mitchell, age 81 of Perrin, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Palo Pinto County, Texas. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 PM November 17, 2009 at South Side Church of Christ in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be 2 PM November 18, 2009 also at South Side Church of Christ with William Eudy officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery west of Perrin. Pallbearers for the service will be Ben Griffith, Sam Griffith, Daniel Griffith, Mickey Johnson, Jimmy Sliger and Tom Chipman. Mr. Mitchell was born November 3, 1928 in Perrin, TX the son of Eunice Jefferson and Ruby Gonce Mitchell. In 1951 he married Frances Irene Middleton who preceded him in death in September 2007. He was a heavy equipment operator providing farm, ranch, and soil conservation services in Jack and surrounding counties. He was also a rancher and successful local businessman. He and his wife built Mitchell RV Park in Perrin which they operated until 1997. He was a member of the South Side Church of Christ. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Celesta and Jim Hughes of Lewisville, Vicki and Mark Alcorn of Mineral Wells, Glenn and Joanna Mitchell of Mineral Wells, Jeff and Missy Mitchell of Aledo and Patty Mitchell of Tennessee. Grandchildren: Ben, Sam and Daniel Griffith; Christina Sliger, Mickey Johnson, Willie and James Mitchell; Ruby-Kate, Matthew and Hayden Mitchell; and Liberty Lege. Great-grandchildren: Mason and Hunter Griffith; and Carley Sliger. Sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Bill Storie of Aledo, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Watkins and Wanda June Mitchell.
