William Donald Lionberger

April 28, 1931 — January 1, 1900

William Donald Lionberger, 81, passed away October 20, 2012 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born April 28, 1931 in Lincoln, Nebraska the son of George Joseph and Grace B. McFann Lionberger. He married Marilyn Fones on November 10, 1952 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was a longtime resident of the Mineral Wells and Weatherford areas. He was retired from the US Army. He worked for Southern Airways as an Instructor Pilot. He worked for Exxon flying offshore oil in the coast. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Garner Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow in Oran Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Marilyn "Micky" Lionberger of Garner, sons and daughters-in-law: Jay and Maudie Lionberger of Garner, Jim and Joyce Lionberger of Hermleigh, grandchildren: Misty Stekoll, Crissy Orton, Christi VanRite, Justin Head, Angie Smith, Shelia Lane, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-law: James Ralph Lionberger of Mineral Wells, Obe Leon and Betty Lionberger of Garner, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
