William Hibbitts

William Lamar Hibbitts Jr. 82 of Mineral Wells passed away May 7, 2014. He was born in Seagraves, Texas; the son of the late William Sr. and Hattie (Hayes) Hibbitts. William served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was a very distinguished solider; earning the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, U.N. Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Meritorious Unit Citation. He leaves behind sons Mark and Bobby Schmalzried, John Wayne Hibbitts and Ronny Lee Cooper; daughters Barbie Huddleston, Kimberly Hirth and Debra Schmalzried; 6 sisters; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by parents, wife, 1 son, 1 grandson, a sister and 3 brothers. Visitation will be Monday May 12, 2014 from 6-8pm. Services are scheduled for Tuesday May 13, 2014 2:00pm at South Side Church of Christ; burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
