Wenford Smith

Wenford Smith 89 of Temple passed away on August 13, 2013. He was born in Jack Co. March 20, 1924; the son of the late Marion and Lenora (Medlin) Smith. Wenford graduated Perrin High School in 1942, was in the U.S. Army during the South Pacific and Korean War. He later went on to get a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Sul Ross State College in 1957. He was involved in the oil and gas industry all his life. He leaves behind wife of 66 years Jolene Smith; son: Kent Bradford Smith; grandchildren: Courtney, Hannah and Jill Frances Smith and Sherry McKay; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers: Bill, Edd and Joe; sisters: Mamie, Estelle and Maudie. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday August 16, 2013 at 11AM at Perrin Memorial Cemetery
