Wayne Christopher Garland

Wayne Christopher "Chris" Garland passed away June 1, 2018, at his home in Mineral Wells, Texas, after an extended illness. Chris was born November 9, 1960, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Charles Garland and Patsy Lee Garland. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School and attended TSTI, Weatherford Junior College, and Texas Tech University.Chris was a beloved member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he served as usher and was a member of the Church Board.In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his brother Greg Garland and wife Michele of Lubbock, Texas; nieces Keely Garland of Lubbock, Texas, Kelsy Hope and husband Jared of San Antonio, Texas, Karly Garland of Dallas, Texas; grand nephew Corbin Cabe Hope of San Antonio, Texas.A celebration of Chris's Life will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1005 SE 6th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 1005 SE 6th Avenue, Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
