Rev. W.O. Harrell passed away at his home in Mineral Wells, November 7, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Roswell, NM, July 3, 1931 to Bert and Bessie Harrell. He was preceded in death by his brother Troy Harrell of Mineral Wells, by his 9 month old son William Edward Harrell, by his mother and father, by his grand-son Shawn Nolen of Mineral Wells, and recently by his wife Kathie, to whom he was married to for 64 years. He is survived by his son Rev Bill Harrell of Mineral Wells, his daughter Anna Nolen and her husband Rev. Hayward Nolen of Mineral Wells, a sister Loree Clark Adams of Lancaster, CA, a grand-daughter Renee Hudnell and Husband Toby and their two children Colin and Brenden of Arlington, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.Rev Harrell was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for over 60 years of active ministry as an evangelist and pastor serving Mineral Wells for many years. His influence on his family and community could be seen in his son, his son-in-land and grand-daughter who all pastored churches in the Mineral Wells area. He retired in 2011 from New Vision Assembly of God after the death of his wife Kathie. He will be sorely missed and his efforts to prepare his world to meet God and to make it a better place will be remembered.Visitation will be Monday November 10, 2014 from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 2pm in the funeral home chapel.
