Vonda Whittenburg

Vonda Elaine Whittenburg, 64, went home to meet her Lord and Savior December 18, 2015 from Fort Worth. She was born April 23, 1951 in Mineral Wells the daughter of Ovet and Arline Axtell Savell. She married Joe Whittenburg on August 21, 1976 in Mineral Wells. She was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells, and a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church where she served as treasurer. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband of 39 years: Joe Whittenburg, mother: Arline Savell, sisters and brothers-in-law: Vickey and James Sherley, Kathryn and Tommy Pratt all of Mineral Wells, brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Janice Savell of Jacksboro, aunt: Elsie Watkins, nephews: Anthony Sherley, Zed and Ray Zachmeyer, great-nieces: Kylee and Brady Zachmeyer, and great-nephews: Maddux Zachmeyer and Liam Nolan all of Mineral Wells. She was preceded in death by her father who met his Lord and Savior on August 22, 2008.
