Virginia Ann Poynor, 68, passed away May 7, 2009 at her home in Mineral Wells. She was born February 28, 1941 in Poteet the daughter of Curry and Ima Forrest Jenkins. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of 11th Avenue Church. She worked a lifetime at child care and even owned and operated Peter Pan Day Care for several years. Services will be 10 AM Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 11th Avenue Church with Rev. Scott Poynor and Rev. Charles Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Poe Prairie Cemetery. She is survived by her husband: Sam Poynor, children and spouses: Tammy and Mark Bryant, Scott and Becky Poynor, and Kenny and Jeana Poynor, grandchildren: Mandy Franklin and husband Michael, Blake McDonald and wife Chasity, Jodi Jolly, Brad, Jenny, Nathan, and Allie Poynor, Shaley Cates and husband Kelsey, Cassie Poynor and fiancé Pete McMillan, Sammy and Brendi Poynor, great-grandchildren: Ethan, Austin, and Audrey all of Mineral Wells, brothers and sisters-in-law: Curry Jr. and Delores Jenkins, Bill and Faye Jenkins, Lonnie and Shirley Jenkins, sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean and Sonny Eichman, Lorena Cormier, Nancy Yow, sister-in-law: Tootsie Jenkins all of the Poteet area, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: J. W. Jenkins, sisters: Ruth Brumley, Maxine Crouch, and brothers-in-law: Bobby Yow, and Delton Couch.
