Verna Hughes

Verna Louise Hughes, 79, passed away February 12, 2009 at her residence in Mineral Wells. She was born July 16, 1929 in Palo Pinto the daughter of Joe and Ivy Lee. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells, and a member of the First Baptist Church. Services will be 2 PM Sunday, February 15, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter: Theresa Parks of Portland, Texas, son: Doug Hughes of Hurst, grandchildren: Will and Jordan Parks, Erik, Jason, and Kyrstal Hughes, brothers: Rex, Ronald, and Donald Lee all of Mineral Wells, sisters: Alma Smith, Ruth McDeal, and Bobby Argumaniz all of Mineral Wells, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
