Vera Holloway

Vera Holloway, a beloved mother and cherished member of the Mineral Wells community, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023, at the age of 94. Vera was born on October 12, 1929, in Haskell, Texas, to her parents, James Putman and Chessie Debusk.

A devoted mother, Vera leaves behind her loving son Kenneth Holloway, who will forever cherish the memories they shared together. In addition to her son, Vera is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jane Holloway; grandchildren, Ronda Murphy, Billy Holloway, TJ Holloway, Walter Holloway, Keith Holloway, Shaun Holloway, April McCommas, Brandy Dahlhauser, Jennifer Wiley, and Daniel Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, James Rayburn Holloway, Janie Ingle, and Doyle "Don" Holloway, Jr.; and her husband Doyle Holloway, Sr.

Vera's journey on this earth was marked by kindness, compassion, and a warm smile that could brighten anyone's day. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures and always had a listening ear and a comforting word for those in need. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

To honor her memory, a graveside service will be held on November 24, 2023, at Holders Chapel Cemetery in Cool at 2:00 pm. 

Though she may be gone physically, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
