Veneita Tuggle Russell

Veneita Tuggle Russell, 96, passed away May 17, 2014 in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born February 16, 1918 in Eastland County the daughter of Jesse Lee and Rosa Catherine Harris James. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of 11th Avenue Church. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She worked as a Supervisor in the sewing room at Perry Equipment for 30 years. She was a charter member of the Mineral Wells High School Historical Preservation Committee for the old high school building. She married Wesley Tuggle on October 18, 1940 in Mineral Wells and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1973. She married Clide T. Russell in Granbury and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 4 sisters. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter: Melody Joy Tuggle Carroll of Mineral Wells, grandchildren and spouses: Wesley and Kim Young of Tolar, Shawn and Michelle Young of Mineral Wells, Monica and Stephen Hartt of Aledo, great-grandchildren: Blake, Wesli, Mckenzie, Kendal, Morgan, Audra, and Lexton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
