Ursuline M. (Miller) Whitney born October 21, 1915 in Metamora, Illinois to John W. and Christina (Halm) Miller.She was called home to be with the Lord on may 10, 2013. She moved to Peoria at age 11 and Graduated from the Academy of our Lady in June 1933.She moved to Sheridan, Illinois and was a bookkeeper at the Sheridan National Bank until shemarried Roy D. Whitney, February 7, 1937 at St. Mary's Cathedral Rectory in Peoria.Son David L Whitney was born October 29, 1938. Daughter Patricia Ann Whitney was bornSeptember 12, 1942.Ursuline worked with Roy at Alexander Lumber Company in Sheridan from 1947 until they bothmoved to Aurora in 1968 to work at the District Office until they retired in 1974. They moved toMineral Wells, Texas December 13, 1974. Ursuline was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church were she and Roy volunteered on many church and community projects.She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers John A. and Henry A. Miller. 5 sisters Agnes Gordon in Illinois, Mary WeIte in Wisconsin, Dorothea Miller in Illinois,Constance Drake in California Joan (Miller) Flanigen of Annapolis, Md.. Her daughter Patricia Ann (Whitney) Mietzner of Arizona.She is survived by her son David L. Whitney and Daughter in law Annette L.(Carroll) Whitney of San Antonio, Texas. She has 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Baum Carlock Bumgardner. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6:30 PM Tuesday during the visitation.
