Our sweet, precious Tommye Kay Ivey Pfeifer, 58, has been escorted by angels to her heavenly home to live forever with her blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 13, 2020. Tommye Kay was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on April 3, 1961 to Barney Thomas (Tommy) and Mary Thetford Ivey. Kay was a lifelong resident of Mineral Wells. She graduated from Mineral Wells High in 1979. Kay married Donald Keith Pfeifer on June 5, 1993. They had one child, Thomas Jacob Pfeifer (TJ), who has been patiently awaiting their arrival to Heaven.
Kay worked at Palo Pinto General Hospital for 11 years in their environmental services. Kay loved animals, especially their sweet dog, Bandit, who will no doubt be at heaven's gates waiting to welcome her in. Kay enjoyed traveling, reading, working on doll house miniatures and genealogy.
Tommye Kay is survived by her husband Don Pfeifer; mother Mary Ivey; sister Gladys Ivey; nephew Samuel Casey; and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Tommy Ivey, sister Mary Lee Ivey Casey and son Thomas Jacob Pfeifer.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17th from 5-7pm at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home at 302 W Hubbard St., Mineral Wells, Texas 76067. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 18th at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Word officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery 3600 S. Oak, Mineral Wells, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Bernie Hughes, James White, Glenn Pierce, Steve Ussery, Clay Bomar and Dale Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Hughes, Scott Hughes and Bill Robinson.
