Tommy Riggs, 63, of Jacksboro, passed away in Decatur on November 15 after a short illness.
Graveside services will be held 10 AM Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Willow Pond Cemetery with Kevin Flournoy officiating under the direction of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
Tommy was born to Robert (Bob) Riggs and Alvarene Glover Riggs on October 7, 1958 in Mineral Wells and continued to live there until 2011 when he moved to Greystone Retirement Center in Jacksboro. In January of 2021 he moved to Faith Community Nursing Home where he continued to live until his passing.
Early in his residence at Greystone, he asked Jesus to be his Savior and Lord. He enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. When asked what denomination he was, he would say “I am a Christian.” Tommy was always ready with a “God Bless You” for anyone, to friend or family, even right up until the end.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Robert (Bob) Riggs and Alvarene Glover Riggs, and brother Robert Riggs.
He is survived by many cousins in the area, 3 cousins of whom he kept in contact with, Justine Arthur of Florida, Deborah Glover of Fort Worth area, and Jaynell Flournoy and husband Albert of Breckenridge, Texas.
