Tommy D. Morgan Sr. 61, passed away January 9, 2021 at 7:11 pm at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Tommy was born in Midland, Texas to his mother Juanita Duke Morgan and his father Newton Whitney Morgan Jr. Tommy graduated from ASI in Iran while his parents worked for Bell Helicopter.
Tommy honorably served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield in the United States Navy. He was stationed on the USS Saratoga during Operation Desert Storm as an Aircraft Electronic Specialist.
One of Tommy’s greatest achievements was setting one of the highest safety records for Compression that remains unbeaten today. He was a humanitarian at heart and lived by the saying “love thy neighbor.” There was absolutely nothing he would not have given to anyone in need or those he loved. Some of his most cherished memories were of spending time around his Mother’s picnic table, laughing and watching his nieces and nephews play.
Tommy was fiercely competitive and will be remembered for his love of all sports, for his golf swing and for those “squirrel shorts” only he could wear.
Tommy is survived by his two adult children to whom he was estranged from, Meg A. Morgan, Tommy D. Morgan Jr, 4 grandchildren, a bonus son Robert J Dickinson, Sisters-Sandra D. Oliver and husband Don Oliver, Kathy D. Stephens, Polly L. Morgan, Jackie L. Williams and husband Jimmy Williams, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many long-time friends that were family.
