Timothy Leighton Honsinger II was born 6 July 1973 in Corpus Christi, Texas and lost his battle with esophageal cancer 25 January 2018. He grew up in Mineral Wells graduating from MWHS in 1991. Timothy's pursuit of education took him to Weatherford College for his Associate Degree and Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth to complete his Bachelor Degree. Following his graduation from Texas Wesleyan, TCU accepted him for a Master's program in Literature that he completed in 1998. His affinity for the Purple Frog Nation was extensive and covered everything related to TCU. Timothy moved to Austin, Texas following graduation from TCU and like so many others that completed degree programs; found employment in a non-associated field. Apple, which has a facility in Austin, hired him as a software engineer in 2002. His employment got him the nickname "Apple" when he decided to try out a new watering hole. This selection for casual libation was predominantly Dell computer employees and rather than banish Timothy they just nicknamed him "Apple." The moniker stuck until his departure from Austin. If you ever had the opportunity to discuss literature with him, your first observation would be his collective knowledge about the subject. Then you would find that his appreciation for reading came in the form of comic books until he graduated to hard covered books, but he still had an affinity for comic books. His general knowledge of authors, their characters and writing style was impressive and will be a great loss to those of us that had these conversations with him. Timothy came back to Parker County to assist with the care of his beloved NaNa (maternal grandmother) prior to her passing in April 2017. He has now joined her where there is not any pain or suffering and she now knows his presence again. He is survived by his mother Olga J. Lyons of Ft. Worth, Texas, sister Yvette Lyons of Ft. Worth, Texas, father Timothy L. Honsinger and wife Donna of Arlington, Texas, uncle Kenneth Gibbins and wife Melinda of Weatherford, Texas. uncle Lynn Gibbins and wife Tami of Weatherford, Texas, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
