Thomas Wayne Reedy

Thomas Wayne Reedy, 62, of Mineral Wells, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene with burial in the Woodland Park Cemetery. Rev. Jane Hughes will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday.Mr. Reedy was born March 5, 1947 in Mineral Wells, the son of William Elbert and Ella Jewell Knight Reedy and lived here most of his life. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He married Joyce West May 15, 1974 in Mineral Wells. He was an officer on the Mineral Wells Police Department from 1969-1976 and again from 1988-2005. He was chief of Police in Mont Belvieu, TX from 1977-1986.He is survived by his wife, Joyce Reedy of Mineral Wells: sons, Larry Criswell and fiancé, Amanda Kincaid of Mineral Wells and Keith Norton and wife Jennifer of Whitt; daughter, Christy Montgomery and husband Joe of Crosby; brother, Bill Reedy and wife Sue of Baytown; sisters, Anita Jenkins and husband Joe of Vidor and Kathy Westerman of Azle; sister-in-law, Cathy Glover of Mineral Wells; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
