Thomas Richard Nissen

Thomas Richard Nissen, 84, passed away August 12, 2015 in Fort Worth. He was born September 6, 1930 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Mathias Christian and Rozella Pearl Jacobson Nissen. He married Patricia Craddock on March 24, 1967 in Mineral Wells. He retired from the US Army National Guard as Lt. Colonel after 34 years of service. He worked at Southern Airways for 16 years as a Pilot and Assistant Flight Commander. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 62 years. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Services will be 2 PM Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Patricia Nissen of Weatherford, children and spouses: Nicklas and Jan Nissen of San Antonio, Troy Richard and Laurie Nissen of Cedar Park, Lisa Neves of Oregon, Shanah Coe of Strawn, Tonya Deon and Lynn Sullivan of Granbury, grandchildren and spouses: Jennifer and Kenyon Raile of Coldstrip, Montana, Jason Thomas and Traci Nissen of Portland, Oregon, Cody and Loren Coe of Friendswood, Jory and Cindy Sullivan of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mark Hunter Nissen of Lubbock, Matthew Nissen of Austin, Taylor Sullivan of Granbury, Nikki and Brandon Malewski of Portland, Oregon, great-grandchildren: Carter, Cooper, Blake, Evy, Raelynn, Jack, Taylor, Sidney, Donny, and Ashley, sisters: Arlene Johnson, Mary Ellen Brackemeyer, and Peggy Woerkner, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Joyce Wyrth.
