Theresa Joy Crosier

Therea Joy Crosier, age 80 passed away peacefully at her home on November 4, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1944, to Johnny and Ella Maria Glidewell in Mineral Wells.

Theresa graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1962 then she attended Howard Payne College and gradated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science.

 She taught Elementary School for 36 years, the last 20 years in Mineral Wells. Her peers recognized her as Elementary Teacher of the year in 2007. She was passionate about teaching reading and ESL. She was involved in several associations throughout her teaching career and held many offices. She loved to travel, especially to the hill country. She also loved politics and being involved in the community.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Crosier, her sister Gaylia Davis and parents Johnny and Ella Maria Glidewell. 

Theresa is survived by her children Suzanne Simpson and fiancé Larry Lantz, Rusty and Shelley Simpson, her grandchildren, Sadye and Nathan Albert and Wylie Simpson. Sister Johnell Smith, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was expecting her first great grandbaby Ridge Russell any day.

Funeral services will be at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be 1 hour prior at 1p.m. Graveside will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery.
