Terry Lynn Martin also known as “Dee” was born in Midland to Vernon and Dorothy McQuerry. 

She went to grade school in Stanton. When she was 13 her family moved to Midland where she graduated from Midland High School. In 1977 she met her soulmate, Russell Martin. They married December 3,1977. They had 2 children and lived in Midland and eventually moved to Mineral Wells. 

 

Terry worked for Midland Map Company, Clayton Williams, and Winn Dixie. She loved being a grandmother where she inherited the name “Dee”. In her younger years she loved wrestling. She would always watch the Von Ericks. She would yell at the TV while we laughed at her. Then she turned to the Texas Rangers she loved them boys! And of course she loved Elvis Presley. She also loved her 2 lifelong friends Vickie Olgin and Vicky Strong. 

 

Terry is preceded in death by her grandson: Michael Harding, son-in-law: Gary Ross, her parents, sister: Sheila, and brother: Michael. 

 

She is survived by her husband: Russell Martin, children: Amy Ross and Jamie Martin and wife Robin, grandkids: Maegan and Justin Hull, Wendy and Mike Manley, Kenna Amburn, Heath Isbell, Nathan Isbell, Lane Martin, and Mason Martin, and lots of great-grandchildren, and sisters: Julia Collier, Marjorie McQuerry and Amy Suggs.

 

Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Chapel. Services are 10 AM Friday at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
