Terry Mahaney

Terry Warren Mahaney, 67, of Mineral Wells, passed away with family at his bedside on February 9, 2025. He was born July 25, 1957, in Ranger, TX to Max and Billie Jean Carter Mahaney. 

 Terry is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda; his daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Kevin Lane; sons Ben Weise and Joshua Mahaney; as well as seven cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, father, and beloved son, Jonathon Warren Mahaney.

Terry was a devoted servant of the Lord, his community, and his family. He worked tirelessly throughout his life, dedicating over six years of service as a U.S. Navy Corpsman. Following his military service, he served proudly in various law enforcement roles, including positions with the Texas Department of Corrections, Eastland Police Department, Odessa Police Department, Stevens County Chief Deputy, and Mineral Wells Police Department. He was also known for his work at Aaron's Furniture and Arona’s. 

A hard worker and a dedicated family man, Terry leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and commitment to those he touched throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Funeral services to honor Terry’s life will be held on Wednesday February 12th at 2:00 pm at Soda Springs Baptist Church, with graveside service directly following. Visitation will be held on the Tuesday the 11th between 6:00- 8:00 PM at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. 

Rest in peace, Terry. To the man who could move mountains; your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
