Teresa Strickland

Teresa Floann Strickland, 56, passed away March 5, 2012 at her home in Perrin. She was born August 6, 1955 in Tarrant County the daughter of Theodore and Betty Breshers Alexander. She grew up in Fort Worth and Married Leonard Ray Strickland on October 2, 1972 at the age of 16. She was a homemaker, a school crossing guard, a newspaper distributer for the Fort Worth Star Telegram, and a small business owner. She attended the Salvation Army when she was young and in recent years had rediscovered a love for Jesus, and was attending Bible Fellowship at Greystone Park. The job she considered most important was being a mother to her children and a grandmother to her grandchildren. Services will be 10 AM Thursday, March 8, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Perrin with Lee Doffer officiating. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Starkey of El Cajon, California, sons and daughter-in-law: Troy and Carrie Strickland of Chillicothe, granddaughters: Taylor, Kourtney, Aubrie, and Sarah Starkey all of El Cajon, California, mother: Betty Alexander of Fort Worth, brother: Douglas Alexander, sister: Rozella Alexander and Ron Starkey. She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and one grandson: Ryan Joseph Starkey.
