Steven Ray Mullen

Steven Ray Mullen, a welder, small business owner, and longtime resident of Mineral Wells, Texas passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2023.

Steven is survived by his parents Don Mullen and Cathy Adkins, his wife Raina Mullen and children Jordan and Victoria Williamson, Nikolas and Alexcia Santillan, Jordan Mullen, Elizabeth Kline, McKinley Swindell and Paige Pierson. Steven’s siblings are Sheila Mullen and fiancé Sheldon and Scott Mullen and wife Stacy.  He had numerous nieces and nephews and three beautiful grandkids.

Steven was born December 19, 1972 in Cortland, New York, but came to Texas as fast as he could.  He had different paths he travelled throughout his life, but his heart always went back to welding.  Steven took over Pied Piper Animal Trap from Joe and Margie Piper and ran the business for over 20 years.

Steven finally found his true love Raina and married her April 21, 2023. He was a devoted father to all of his children. He enjoyed traveling, trail rides, and beating his sister in every 5 k they ran together.  He didn’t know a stranger.  He helped everyone he could and would give the shirt off his back, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen and the last dollar in his pocket to whomever may need it. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at Rock Creek Baptist Church in Mineral Wells on a later date with Chaplin Gene Smithwick officiating.
