She grew up in Breckenridge and Post Oak in west Texas. She was a graduate of Breckenridge High School. With her diploma in hand and hoping to find employment, Joyce moved to Fort Worth in the mid 1930's and found love instead. She met and married Frank "Allen" Tomlinson in 1937 and started their family. They were married 62 years when Allen passed away in 1999. He was employed by General Dynamics from the day it opened until his retirement. Joyce excelled in her role as wife and mother and became an active participant in the PTA organizations at the schools her sons attended in west Fort Worth: Crestwood Elementary, South High Mount, Stripling Jr. High and Arlington Heights High School. She and her family were enthusiastic members of Central United Methodist Church. Joyce was especially proud of her sons Ronald, a mechanical engineering graduate of SMU and David, a graduate of TCU and the University of Texas Law School. Joyce never lost her enthusiasm for a good meal or a challenging game of "42". She was an active participant in the twice monthly Pecan Plantation "42" Club. Upon retirement, Joyce and Allen returned to Breckenridge (and later Palo Pinto) TX. They travelled extensively in the Orient, Hawaii, England, and other parts of Europe. They were also valued members of the Palo Pinto United Methodist Church. Survivors: Joyce Tomlinson is survived by two sons, Ronald A. Tomlinson and wife Jill of Fairview; David A.
