Stacy Lynn Stovall

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Stacy Lynn Stovall (“Shorty”) age 40, who left us on September 22, 2024. Stacy was born on April 25, 1984. 

Stacy was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend whose kindness, humor, and strength touched the lives of so many. All of whom will forever cherish her memory.

Stacy lived at Possum Kingdom Lake most of her life. Stacy’s dad, Jim Sells Sr. had given her the nickname Shorty. Stacy graduated from Graford High School in 2002. Stacy’s warmth, love, and vibrant spirit will live on in our hearts always.

Stacy leaves behind a daughter Jordon Stovall and her husband Devvan Polk whom Stacy called “son”, their two children (Stacy’s grandbabies) Caevvan Polk (grandson), an Remington Polk (granddaughter), Stacy’s son Landon Stovall, parents Cindy and Jim Sells Sr., brother Jim Sells Jr. and his wife Donna, sister Jennifer Sells Smith and her children Devin Clark, Jersey Lovern and Cheyeene Lovern, and many nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends!

Stacy had a big heart, she was kind, generous and loving. If anyone ever asked for help, she was there to help them. Stacy was a very strong-willed person and never asked for anything in return. Her greatest attribute in life was the love that she had for her children and grandbabies. Stacy would give her last dollar or even the shirt off her back to her children. From the moment her children were born, Stacy knew she was meant to be their mother. Stacy will be missed dearly by her children, grandbabies, family, and friends.

Stacy will be laid to rest at McAdams Cemetery Possum Kingdon Lake. The funeral service will be at the First Baptist Church Possum Kingdom at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2024. There will be a viewing and visitation at the Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
