Sara Diane Hulin

We are sad to announce the passing of Sara Diane Hulin of Mineral Wells, TX. Sara passed away at the age of 62 on May 21, 2023. She was born the youngest of 8 children, to Alfred Hulin, Sr and Alice Marie Hulin, on October 17, 1960.

Sara accepted Christ at a young age, she was baptized and remained a member of the Bethel Baptist Church until her passing. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School in May 1978 where she played softball and ran track.

Sara moved to Phoenix, AZ where she would meet her longtime partner, Salvatore Trandicosta and become step-mother to Tora Johnson of Phoenix, AZ (children: Malahkai Debron Lyriic Johnson-Woodson, Makai Larry Devon Johnson-Woodson, Salvatore David Johnson, Jr and Tahlia Rein Johnson) and Christina Olvera and husband Christopher of Phoenix, AZ (children: Ivan Johnson Meza and daughter Gabrielle Maria Olvera). Sara and Sal would eventually move back to Mineral Wells to help care for her father until his death. 

On November 10th, 2000 they welcomed their first and only child together, Alfred Trandicosta. The family was finally complete when Sara welcomed daughters, Royalty Hulin and Reign Hulin.

Sara was preceded in death by life partner, Salvatore Trandicosta; parents, Alfred and Alice Hulin; brother, Talton Hulin, Sr; nephew, Talton Hulin, Jr; and niece Jeanyne Hulin. 

Sara is survived by brothers, Alfred Hulin, Jr of Ft. Worth, TX, Fred Hulin, Sr of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Hattie Ligons, Alice Hulin, Donnetha Hulin and Liller Morquecho and Gilbert Smith  all of Mineral Wells, TX, Genetha and Cornelius McFerren of St. Louis, MO, Felechia and Marvin Johnson, of Mineral Wells, TX, Nell and Carlton Allen of Merida, Mex and Harris Johnson; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church in Mineral Wells, TX.
