Samuel Walter Minton passed away, the day after his 72nd birthday, on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born October 22, 1948, in Castlewood, VA, to Charlie and Angie Mae Sain Minton. Sam served 10 years in the Untied States Air Force. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom. Sam was the best, most loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sue Minton; children, Patti Brown, Cindi Minton Todd and husband Rodney, Clinton Tuggle and wife Jennifer, Jason Houser and wife Sarah; grandchildren, Eli (Jaclyn), Hannah (Britton), Dylan (Shauri), Remington, Leonard, Peyton, Patch, Paxton Samuel, Delaina, Gabriel, Jaycee, Rance, Miles, and Clancy; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Maverick, Ember and Easton; brother, Richard Minton and wife Sherry; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 28 at First Baptist Church Possum Kingdom.
