Sam Franklin Taylor, 85, of Graford, passed away, Sunday, August 2, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Fellowship of Christian Believers in Graford, Pastor Ben Lisby officiating. Burial will be in the Graford Cemetery with Rocky Timmons, John Cornelius, Mike Cornelius, Jason Tanner, Justin Tanner and Ryan Rodrigues serving as pallbearers and Keith Tanner and James Crow serving as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Taylor was born November 13, 1923 in Whitt, Texas, the son of John W. and Lela Stout Taylor. He married Edna Harrell and she preceded him in death December 16, 2007. He was an iron worker and was a member of the National Ironworker's Union for over 50 years. He was also a member and elder of the Fellowship of Christian Believers Church. Survivors include a daughter, Risha Taylor of Lubbock; nieces, Suzanne Tanner of Graford and Janice Hogan of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Brittney and Ryan Dawn; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
