Ruth Ward

Ruth Slevin Ward, 91, passed away October 6, 2011 in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born October 13, 1919 in Summit County, Ohio the daughter of Thomas and Carrie Trembley Slevin. She married Allen D. Ward on March 30, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. She had lived in Mineral Wells since 1959 and was a member of First Baptist Church. She retired from the US Civil Service as a Property Officer in 1980. She was a member of the Organ Club. Services will be 2 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter: Donna Hawley of Eaton, Ohio, son: Mike Ward and wife Sheila of Mineral Wells, son: Tom Ward and wife Sharon of Mineral Wells, daughter: Sharon Maitlen and husband James of Mineral Wells, brother-in-law: Virgil Ward and wife Winona of Akron, Ohio, grandchildren: Debbie Glover and husband Art, Rick Hawley and wife Jill, Ann Unger and husband Kevin, Leslie Wolfsen and husband Mike, Matthew Maitlen and wife Amanda, Michael Ward and wife Jennifer, Lori Mills and husband Shannon, Clay Ward and wife Crystal, and Travis Ward, 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on February 1, 2006, son-in-law: Jim Hawley, and grandson: Ryan Ward.
