Ruth Virginia Harper, 81, of Mineral Wells passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Cityview Community Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Ruth was a homemaker for most of her life. She did work for Ray Moore DVM for several years and was a secretary at Centron Corporation until her husband, Clyde, retired. They took many business trips for the company and visited many cities in the U. S. and also abroad. She was dedicated to her husband Clyde and cared for him through a lengthy illness until he passed away. She and her sister, Frances traveled extensively visiting many casinos all across the country by car and private jets. She loved going with her son to the ranches, always getting the gates, and feeding and working the cattle. She also loved hosting dove hunts and parties at their ranch, and family deer hunting trips. She loved her yard work and her beautiful flowers. Her home was always the gathering place for the family holidays and special occasions. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, son David, and siblings. She is survived by her children: Bennie (Patty), Belinda Bateman (Bobby), Jerry (Sandra), 5 grandchildren: Brandi, Jason, Scott, Lauren, and Jennifer, 6 great-grandchildren: Mitchel Statton, Tanner, Jessamyn, Katelyn, Christian, and Coby, and many nieces and nephews.
