Russell Scott

Russell Dwight Scott, 85, passed away September 23, 2012 in a Dallas hospital. He was born April 30, 1927 in Throckmorton the son of Herbert Winfield and Bertha Scott. He married Dollie Spence on April 30, 1950 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Country Side Baptist Church. He was a member of the VFW. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Ron Scott of Watauga, Ricky and Tess Scott of Mineral Wells, Charles Scott of Mineral Wells, Paul and Adah Scott of Grand Prairie, Doug Scott of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: John and Josh Scott of Saginaw, Brent, Tony, and Cory Scott of Mineral Wells, Scott Hall of Mineral Wells, and great-grandchildren: C.J., Reg, and Summer Rhine. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on October 17, 2006, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
