Russell "Lynn" Glover, age 72, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2024. He was born on November 21, 1952, in Mineral Wells to Floyd Wallace Glover and Mary Jane (Harrington) Glover.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Lynn honorably served his country before beginning a career as an auto mechanic. Then over the years, he worked for Can-Tex, Centron, and spent many years as a skilled welder. Lynn was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and his ability to fix just about anything that came his way. His hands-on expertise and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy Leone (Gatlin) Glover; his sister, Vivian Glover; and his brother, James Glover and his wife, Sharon.
Lynn is survived by his sons, Brian Glover and wife Dee of Mineral Wells, TX, and Russell "Rusty" Lynn Glover II and wife Jannean of Aledo, TX. He is also survived by his brother, Darrell and wife Polly of Mineral Wells, TX, and his sisters, Mary Jo "Lottie" Fitzgerald of Arlington, TX; Ida Shires and husband John of Weatherford, TX; Edith Hall of Mineral Wells, TX; Mildred Hendrick and husband Donald of Mineral Wells, TX; Dena Hafer of Brock, TX; Loretta "June" Langston and husband Chris of Ovilla, TX; and Aileen Levister and husband Tony of Arlington, TX. In addition, he is survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lynn’s love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his devotion to his country will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and kindness. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held 5 -7 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of Lynn's life will be held at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. The family welcomes all who knew him to come and share memories, stories, and support each other during this difficult time. After the services, food and refreshments will be served at Lynn's house for family and friends.
Lynn's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He is now in God's presence forevermore.
