Rudy Gerald Ray, 62, passed away May 7, 2010 at his home in Perrin. He was born August 11, 1947 in Jacksboro the son of Gerald and Eunice Blocker Ray. He was a longtime resident of Perrin. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Perrin. He was a member of the Graham, Graford, and Mineral Wells Noon Lions Clubs. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a Distinguished American Farmers Degree from the National FFA. He married Shirley Lyon on June 10, 1968 in Salesville. Services will be 2 PM Monday, May 10, 2010 at Salesville Baptist Church with Rev. Tammy Valentine and Rev. Lonnie DeArmond officiating. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be James Lyon, John Lyon, Bud Cloud, Craig Mohr, Harold Williams, and Nelson Parker. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Ray of Perrin, daughter: Shawnta Ray of Perrin, grandchildren: Clarissa Ray, Ryan Ray, Zachary Perez, Tabatha Walker, and Chloe Walker, brother and sister-in-law: Robert and Ann Ray of Graford, numerous nieces and nephews, and mother-in-law and father-in-law: Floyd and Mary Lyon of Salesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter: Nicole Perez.
