Royce Dale Patton

Royce Dale Patton 75 of Whitt passed away at his home on August 27, 2017. He was the son of Benjamin "Weaver" Patton and Violet Burnett Patton. Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6-8pm at the funeral home; a graveside service will be held Tuesday August 29, at 10am at Whitt Cemetery. When Royce was younger he enjoyed team roping, calf roping and going to the lake to fish. He was a farmer and loved raising his cows since he was a kid; and showed cattle in the Parker County Stock Show. He spent 33 years with Bell Helicopter as a machinist. In his later years he enjoyed working with his antique tractors and old pickups. His favorite pastime was going to parades with his draft horses and wagon. Royce never met a stranger and loved to talk. He leaves behind wife of 60 years Wanda Patton, Daughter, Donna Roper and husband Ray; grandsons, Justin Roper of Corinth and Dusty Roper of Stephenville. He was preceded in death by brothers, Truitt Patton, Wayne Patton, Ray Patton and Fayne Patton and sister, Emily Presnal.
