Roy McClendon

Roy McClendon, 85, passed away December 18, 2016 in Fort Worth. He was born July 3, 1931 in Carter, Oklahoma the son of John and Lorene Threadwell McClendon. He married Loneita Francis on August 3, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, and Past Master of the Whitt and Perrin Masonic Lodges. He was a past Chief of the Whitt Volunteer Fire Department. He retired after 43 years of service with the Texas Army National Guard. He was a shop foreman at UTES # 2 for more than 30 years. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Whitt Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Loneita McClendon of Fort Worth; children and spouses: Vallarie Brown of Weatherford, Roy Jr. and Annette McClendon of Whitt, Pat and Wesley Wright of Whitt; grandchildren and spouses: Kate and Stephen Netsch, Jeremy Wright and fiancé Sari Nesbit, Jordan and Sara Wright, Shelbi and Justin Epps, Cameron McClendon and fiancé Hannah Cleveland, Kristin and Matlock Jennings; great-grandchildren: Haley Erin Netsch, Halli and Kaegan Epps, Cutter and Brody Jennings; and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers and sisters.
