Roy Lester Justiss, 80, passed away March 25, 2012 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born August 30, 1931 in Meadow, Texas the son of Lester Roy and Mollie Thompson Justiss. He married Pansy Hitchcock on December 19, 1954. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he had served as an usher. He worked Texas Power and Light for 31 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of the Mineral Wells Optimist Club, and volunteerd for Meals on Wheels. Services will be 10 AM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. David Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Jeanette and Billy Watson Jr. of McLoud, Oklahoma, son: Travis Justiss of Arlington, granddaughters: Darcee Justiss of Arlington, Kasey Isbell Watson of Mineral Wells, great-grandsons: Katch Smolek and Miles Storms, and sisters: Ola Mae Brock of Stephenville, and Vera Smyth of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 14, 2003, his parents, and 5 sisters. The family wishes to thank Palo Pinto General Hospital, Integra Care Home Health, and Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab for the care given to their loved one.
