Roy Gene Garrett passed away at 7 AM on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab the place he called home for about 35 years. Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, 25, 2017 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Brother Bill Hudson of Millsap officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Millsap. The pallbearers will be employees of Arnold & Son Construction of Millsap. Roy Gene loved the Lord and read his bible daily. He enjoyed visiting and talking with everybody and playing games and all other activities of the center. Roy also enjoyed his Whataburger and strawberry milk shake that Arnold took him every week. Roy was proud to say that he had worked in the maintenance department at the Baker Hotel for several years. He also had several tv and radio repair shops over the years. Roy gene is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Arnold and Sherry Garrett of Millsap, nephews: Jason Garrett of Millsap and Chris Garrett of Denver, Colorado, uncle: Cotton Garrett of Weatherford, and numerous cousins and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his son: Roy Douglas Garrett, parents: Katie and Dee Garrett, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family wants to say thank you to Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehab for all the years of care and love they gave Roy, and also thanks to Dr. Ty Gore for all his wonderful care.
