Roy Brogdon

Roy Preston Brogdon 85 went to be with the Lord on May 1st 2017. He was one of the Asphalt Aviators Motorcycle club members of Mineral Wells and rode an Indian Chief Bike. Officiating will be Barry and Margie Holmes with a graveside service being held on Thursday May 4th 2017 2pm at Santo North Cemetery. Roy was the son of Albert and Gladys Brown Brogdon, born in Newcastle Texas. He was a welder for over 40 years retiring from PECO. He met and married the love of his life Betty Ann Knoop from Mingus, Texas and they have been married for 58 years. Survivors are wife; sons, Robert Glenn Brogdon and wife Barbara of Millsap and Carl and wife Tammy Brogdon of Millsap; daughter, beloved Gayla Dawn and husband Jerry Cromer of Willow Park, Texas. Children from a previous marriage, Mike and wife Kathy Hott of Mineral Wells; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and wife Imogean Brogdon of Amarillo, JA and wife Cathy of Millsap, Albert Carl and wife Pauline of Virginia and David Brogdon of Mineral Wells; sisters, Helen Jo and husband Wendell of Mineral Wells and Linda Eagla of Missouri. He was preceded by parents, daughter, Deborah Ann Walker, sons, Howard Brogdon and Dale Lee Brogdon; daughter-in-law, Patty Spivey; 2 still-born grandchildren, sister Peggy Austin; brother, James Brogdon.
