Rowland Jolley went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 9, 2015. Rowland was born in Eldorado, Oklahoma, August 26, 1929 to Homer and Flora (Scroggins) Jolley. Funeral service will be held at Dobbs Valley Baptist Church on Thursday January 15, 2015 at 2P.M. Friends gathering for visitation will be at the church 1 hour before the service; starting at 1P.M. Burial will follow the service at Santo North Cemetery. Rowland has resided in Santo since 1961. There he owned a novelty shop where he put his craftsmanship of building fine furniture and cabinetry to use. He was a master craftsman with a piece of wood. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, wood carving, whittling, reading and music. He regularly attended church where he became closer to the Lord; at church he enjoyed leading the congregation in singing hymnals. Rowland had a large heart and it showed in his willingness to help any in need. He is survived by sister, Nevilene Barnes and her daughter Kay Haffner and husband Fred; nephew, H.F. Ritchie and wife June; nieces, Patsy Rarden and Jeannie Brice and husband Ronnie. Rowland was preceded in death by parents, Homer and Flora Jolley; sisters, Inez Jolley and Dona Ritchie.
