Rose Mary Humphries 74, of Graford passed away on August 1, 2012. Rose Mary was born in Canyon, Texas, the daughter of Maurice and Verline Furlow Bewley. She had been a resident of the Graford area since 1964; anyone in the Graford area or anywhere else for that matter had a friend for life once they met Rose Mary. She was heavily involved in her community: as an Emergency Care Attendant with the Graford Fire Department, Graford Fire and Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary, and while living in Tulia, Texas, she was a member of the VFW. She leaves behind sons, Shawn, and wife Ann Humphries, Kyle and wife, Juanita Humphries, daughter, Carla and husband,Wallace Layton, step-children, Lance and wife Michele Leatherwood, and Crystal Knox, grandchildren, Erin Humphries, Keith Stone, Lucas Stone, Carlton Stone, and Christopher Knox along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Husband B.F. "Red" Humphries in 1986 and Joe Leatherwood in 2008. Visitation is Saturday August 4, 2012 at the funeral home chapel from 6-8 P.M. The graveside service is Sunday August 5, 2012 at 10 A.M at Oak Glenn Cemetery in Jack County. The family asks that you meet at the Graford Lions Building just off of Hwy 4 at 9:30 A.M and a precession will lead everyone to the service. After the service friends are invited to meet back at the Graford Lions building for food and fellowship with the family.
