Rosalind Marie Weelborg passed away September 7, 2021.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 6657 N. FM113 Garner, Texas. A reception will immediately follow in “Johnson Hall”.
Rosalind was born in California, Missouri on March 23, 1938. Her childhood years were spent in Columbia, Missouri. In 1951, her parents decided to move the family to Ca. This is where she graduated from high school. She later met and married Dennis E. Weelborg, which preceded her in death in 2017. They resided and raised two children (Terry and Tami) in Lakewood, Ca. Rosalind and Dennis shared a love for travel. They joined the 4C’s Camper’s Club where they met many life-long friends. Rosalind loved being outdoors and spent many hours playing team sports at the local parks and was on several bowling leagues through-out her life. After raising her children, she decided to go back to college and received her B.A. degree. She began a new career as a teacher until she decided to retire and spend the “Golden Years” with her husband. They moved to Texas in 2010 to be closer to her sister. She was loved by everyone and was a great story-teller about growing up in her small rural town. She was preceded in death by her parents Roddy and Gladys Melloway, and two brothers, William (Dub) Melloway and Earl Melloway.
She is survived by her daughter Tami and husband Rick; son Terry and wife Tina; sister Glenda and husband Richard; sisters-in-laws Beverly and husband Bill, Deanna and husband Dean; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a strong Christian woman and family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed by all.
