Ronnie C. Irvin 78 of Mineral Wells passed away at his home on January 12, 2014. He was born in Hobbs New Mexico; the son of Marvin and Atha (Whitley) Irvin. Ronnie served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed by PPGH for many years as a surgical assistant; after retiring from the hospital he took up carpentry and became a proficient cabinet maker; many of the homes here in Mineral Wells have his workmanship in them. Ronnie was a golfer at heart; he could swing a club with the best of them and was a regular player at many of the golf courses throughout Texas and into Oklahoma. He was a member of The Oil Belt Senior Men's Golf Association. He will be missed by many including his wife; June Irvin; step-son Guy Gober; step-daughter Teresa and husband Mark Mcnally; 3 grandchildren; sister Mary Daughtry; numerous nephews, nieces and great nieces & nephews; 2 brother-in-laws; 4 sister-in-laws. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday 11AM at in Santa Anna. The Santa Anna Cemetery is located on the southeast edge of town on FM 1176 in Coleman County, Texas In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Meals-on-Wheels.
