Robert Charles Unwin

Robert Charles "Bob" Unwin passed away June 5, 2014 at his home surrounded by family and friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 9 at Central United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Central UMC or American Cancer Society.Bob was born February 26, 1951, in Aberdeen, Maryland, to Charles and Wanda Odgers Unwin. He served in the military in the early 1970's. He never stopped learning; earning degrees and certificates in many fields. As his brother says, "Bob was a jack of all trades and a master of many". He moved to Texas in 1998 to marry his beloved wife Sheila. Sheila's family became his family when he came to Texas and he will be missed by them all.Bob is survived by father, Charles Douglas Unwin of Raleigh, NC; wife, Sheila Holmes Unwin of Mineral Wells; sons, Jonathon Lee Unwin of Yuma, AZ, Michael Douglas Unwin of Loraine, OH, John Lewis Unwin of Mineral Wells; grandson, Chase Dominik Unwin of Yuma, AZ; brothers and wives, Doug and Nancy Unwin of Fuqua, NC, Craig and Lynn Unwin of Wilmington, NC; and his beloved dogs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Odgers Unwin.
