Robert Wayne Unerfusser

Robert Wayne Unerfusser passed away January 1, 2024. He was born on August 6, 1967 in Irving, Texas to Betty Jean Schmidt and Howard Eugene Unerfusser. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1985. Shortly after, he served in the National Guard Reserves then worked in masonry for many, many years.

Robert had a wonderful personality and loved to use his sense of humor to make others laugh. He loved all of his family and friends but his children and grandchildren were the center of his world including his girls (fur babies) Lizzy and Dani. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He worked his fingers to the bone his entire life. He was a simple man who lived a simple life and never needed for anything more.

Robert is survived by his mother Betty Jean Fox; daughter, Brooklyn Marie Simmons and spouse Justin (JP) Simmons; son, Joshua Robert Unerfusser and spouse Bridget Unerfusser; stepdaughters, Ashley Hay and Allison Hay; granddaughters, Asia Reyes,  Joeanna Simmons, Kenzleigh Simmons, Preslee French, Cloe French, Hayden Villarreal; and his one and only grandson, Branch Pete Simmons; brother, Howard (Butch) Unerfusser Jr; sister, Tammie Oliver and partner Howard  Morris; brother, Jason Unerfusser and spouse Christy Berry; sister, Erica Unerfusser; stepbrother, Billy Ray Fox; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceded in death by the love of his life, Laura Justine Johnson; daughter, Holly Perez; son, Joseph (Joey) Payne; dad, Billy Louis Fox; father, Howard Eugene Unerfusser; stepbrother, Chadwick Fox; nephew, Jeremy Johnson; and childhood best friend Joel Barham.
